Common bicycle problems and solutions
Q: Error code appears on the meter
A: Check the manual to see what kind of fault the error code belongs to, follow the instructions to handle it, and if it still doesn't work, provide error code pictures/videos.
Q: Charger doesn't work
A: First check whether the charger is green or red to green when charging; if the green light is always on, it may be a problem with the charger/charging port/battery, and if the red to green light indicates that the charger is normal, it may be a meter problem.
Q: The meter can't be turned on
A: Check whether the meter line/controller line is plugged in tightly, and re-plug it; if it doesn't work, it may be a problem with the meter/main line/controller
Q: Pedal assist doesn't work
A: Check whether the meter parameters are correct, confirm whether the throttle can work, and whether the sensor line is damaged or loose; if all are correct, replace the sensor
Q: Rear wheel shakes
A: Check whether the spokes are loose and whether they are installed in place; you can tighten the spokes and reinstall the rear wheel.
Q: Motor does not work/has strong noise
A: Check if the controller is loose, re-plug the motor cable of the rear wheel; provide a video of the noise for the technician to determine what the sound is.
Q: Battery does not work/battery life is insufficient
A: Measure the battery voltage after fully charging the battery (provide pictures). If the voltage is abnormal, there may be a problem with the battery/battery cover/circuit board. For battery life issues, customers test the battery life under full charge and provide the VOL when fully charged, the ODO (total mileage) when fully charged, the VOL when the battery is exhausted, and the ODO (total mileage) when the battery is exhausted.
Q: Pedals cannot be installed
A: Check if the left and right pedals are installed/twisted in reverse order. If so, check if the crank/pedal threads are slipped. If slipped, the crank pedals need to be replaced.
Q: Brakes don’t work/are not sensitive/leak oil
A: Adjust the brakes first/check if the brake pads are worn, if there is oil on the brake pads or discs, insufficient friction/is the brake line loose/leak oil, then you need to replace the brakes directly
Q: There is an abnormal sound from the brakes
A: It may be the sound of wiping the disc. Ask the customer to check if the disc is deformed. If it is not deformed, adjusting it can solve the problem. The disc is stuck in the middle of the brake (with a gap), not too close to the left or right side of the brake
Q: The riser is loose and has a gap
A: Check if the headset is aligned and installed, and adjust the headset; if it doesn’t work, replace a headset
