Never use shampoo designed for natural hair when washing the wig. Although regular conditioner is acceptable, natural hair shampoo is too harsh and may lead to hair loss from the wig. Since it is no longer nourished by the scalp, it may become dry and rough over time. You can apply a small amount of olive oil or other hair oils to maintain it—treating the human hair wig the same way you treat your own hair is perfectly fine. Human hair wigs tend to be a little dry after being taken from the donor, as they lose natural human nutrients. Applying some olive oil or argan oil will help keep the hair in good condition. This wig can be curled, styled, dyed, and straightened as desired.
